Brookstone Estates of Rantoul Holds Memorial Service
When one of their residents passed away recently, Brookstone Estates of Rantoul, IL (population 13,000) was asked by the resident’s family to hold a memorial service for the deceased, according to Kim Cross, executive director.
Well known in what is officially called the “Village of Rantoul” by its residents, the late Brookstone resident was remembered by more than 120 local citizens, many of them described “very high society in Rantoul,” according to Kim.
“We held mass and one of our residents who was formerly an organist for the Catholic Church, played her organ for the services,” Kim reported. “Most of those who attended were members of the Catholic Church and their families. It was a great turnout for us.”
The family suggested in the local newspaper that memorials be sent to Brookstone Estates, Ms. Cross added.
